Beer brewing started up in the region that is now the Czech Republic all the way back in 993 at Břevnov Monastery. Since then, Bohemian beers have been long enjoyed by people all over the world. The familiar terms “pilsner” and “budweiser” come from the Czech Republic, though not without a significant amount of drama. The most famous Czech brews are undoubtedly Pilsner Urquell and Budweiser Budvar.
