I picked up this great ale in the Southern Tier mixer pack. I find it hard to not like every beer among the selection. This is a wonderful beer for the summer. Light, refreshing, sessionable and effervescent. Perfect. I pulled this out of frig at about 37 degrees. It poured clear and light golden. A short lived head was lacy at first but didn’t hang around for long. Since I love grapefruit this ale was an instant hit. Even before I took a drink the fragrance told me I was going to like this one. Hops, more the malt, came through and the more. I sniffed and sipped the more complex it became. In fact as advertised by ST tangerine came through. Another reason to like this brew is the hops. They too grew as I drank. There was a slight metallic taste and a dry/bitterness that came along after awhile but nothing that detracts from this very appealing drink. As it warmed to cellar temp the citrus fragrance and taste got bigger. “Light” keeps this as solid ale. An easy pour and drink could start a pattern of enjoy many in a row. If you like pale to IPA this is definitely worth your time. Grab one of these along with one of it’s ST cousins, sit on the deck and soak up some sun.

I’ve loved other Southern Tier brews, but have yet to have the pleasure of trying this one. Looks good!
I have one more of these sitting in my fridge. Really enjoyed it the first time around.
This is the perfect everyday beer. Your review covers the taste very well and I agree 100% with your analysis. I want to add that I killed five of these the other night and felt completely fine the next day. Talk about a session beer! I visited the brewery last year and been a fan ever since.
