I loved my first Dead Guy Ale so when I saw the “Double” I thought I’d better grab this one. I’m not sure what “double” does but this is a fine beer. I think it has something to do with it being categorized as a “Strong Ale”. It has a orange, copper, carmel color that is pleasant to look at but the aroma is wonderful. It is one of the most distinctive orange/chocolate/carmel fragrances I’ve experienced. The lacy head was appealing but the taste is what grabbed me. “Smooth” is what first comes to mind and a sting of alcohol is what was my last taste. Not at all unpleasant just a nice tingle. The bottle is almost to nice to throw away.
