The French brought beer to Morocco in the 20th century, and today that tradition continues through Societe des Brasseries du Maroc, which oversees production and distribution of beer in the country. Heineken is the best selling beer in Morocco, and is brewed locally under contract with Heineken International. Other notable local beers include Stork, Casablanca, and Speciale Flag.
