All I wanted was a beer after trying to put together a baby crib. With a baby on the way there is a lot to get done. We got a new crib delivered today so I attempted to put it together. Of course, the directions were worthless and it took me half an hour just to figure out which parts matched the kindergartener drawn pictures in the instructions. I eventually got it together but wanted nothing more than a beer. I grabbed a beer and was about to open it when my wife told me her car was dead. I put the beer back in the fridge and went to the garage to jumpstart the car.

Finally, I was able to enjoy this delicious amber ale. The beer has a nice looking copper color. There was a decent size head that disappeared quickly and didn’t leave much lacing. The smell is a little weak but there are some hints of malts and bread.

The taste has hints of caramel and sweet malts. It has a slight nutty taste with some hops at the end. It has a good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish.

There is nothing overly special about this beer. It is an average amber ale that lacks anything distinct to make it stand out among other ambers. It is quite refreshing but I don’t think I would buy it again.
