This beer pours a rust orange copper with a healthy and dense head. Lots of bubbles rising rapidly from the bottom of the glass. The aroma consists of faint darker malts, copper, and hard water. Some weird florals going on here also. All together not too appealing. The taste is pretty plain, not all that complex. It tastes like a light lager, with a bit of caramel sweetness, which adds some slight body. The aroma is actually increasing in its presence and is not improving. It’s an aroma that is very hard to explain. Almost sweaty, musty, and mixed with metal every time I go for a sip. Really displeasing. Overall the taste is actually tolerable- but that’s as far as I will go. In the competitive craft beer world these days you have to turn out beers that are better than this. There is no excuse for a beer that is lacking so much in aroma and flavor characteristics. On the positive side the beer looks nice, has a good head, and its pretty smooth going down. Other than that, this beer leaves me wanting to finish it quickly and move on. Sorry Horny Goat.
